Can something regarded as ugly become high status in another form or social context? How can we add value to a surface that is destroyed by time and everyday use? How do we highlight the beauty of the aging material? The screen printed patterns on the new pieces were found behind the old layers of peeling wallpaper in an old flat in Solna, outside Stockholm.
